"Trojans Read," a sculpture made from clear packing tape, was a created as part of the Middle School Exploration on Collaborative Art. The assignment was to choose a specific location in the school that was in need of sprucing up, and to design a mural or sculpture for that space which would either communicate a message &/or make a positive impact. Working in teams of 2-4, students had to agree on an idea, come up with a plan that used color &/or shapes to help convey their intended message (no "random" choices allowed), and then work through to completion. Three weeks later, our school is home to 4 new murals and this sculpture of our school mascot reading a book in the library. See the full gallery of photos on the Middle School Art webpage.
